Coast Air has a written quality control
manual which details responsibilities and procedures.
It is revised regularly to meet the latest industry, customer and government requirements
Coast Air's Quality Manual demonstrates compliance with
the latest revision of ANSI/ISO/ASQC
Q9001.
Government source inspection is done by an itinerant inspector.

With cooperation and input from customers, suppliers, and co-workers, Coast
Air is committed to being a superior, customer-service driven distributor of electrical and mechanical hardware. Performance
to our customer delivery and quality requirements will be measured to assist in improving customer service. We will
develop loyalty with all our stakeholders by being easy to do business with and maintaining a friendly and high quality
work environment.
Coast Air has won top supplier awards from Boeing, ITT and the US Small Business Administration for superior quality
and customer service achievement. We are a certified supplier to many of our customers including the Federal Government.
Coast Air became registered to the ISO 9002 standard in April of 1998. We focus on understanding and meeting our customer's
quality, delivery and packaging requirements.
A certificate of conformance is included with every shipment. When manufacturer certs are needed, they must be requested
at the time of quote. Physical and chemical certs are also available for an additional charge when requested prior to
order placement.
All parts at Coast Air are lot controlled and traceable to the manufacturer. Milspec hardware is mechanically inspected
using industry approved sampling plans. Our QC staff has years of experience working with the aerospace primes. They
assure quality through attention to detail and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
The responsibility of quality at Coast Air is shared by all co-workers. The sales staff must understand the customers
requirements prior to quoting. Once an order is taken, all requirements are documented on the sales order so that the
QC and warehouse staff can process the order accurately and completely. Quality and customer service data is collected
and analyzed to find better ways to meet our customers needs. Internal audits are conducted to verify that our business
practices are effective. |
